With the transition to 3D NAND on the horizon, NAND suppliers have slowed further expansion of 2D NAND capacity. Toshiba/SanDisk, Micron and SK Hynix are investing in initial 3D NAND production while Samsung aims to increase its 3D NAND capacity this year.
